Why DinnerSolved

Built for the seven-night-a-week problem no one else is solving.

If you're a busy family, you already know the drill: groceries take planning and cooking. Meal kits still mean cooking. Online delivery apps are fast but expensive and exhausting for 4 mouths. DinnerSolved sits in the gap — easier than groceries, cheaper than delivery, built specifically for the dinner-with-your-family use case.

When does DinnerSolved launch?

We're launching in Kitchener–Waterloo in the coming months. Join the waitlist and you'll be the first to hear when your postal code goes live.

Can I really order the whole week at once?

Yes. Pick tonight, a few nights, or every weeknight in a single checkout — up to a week in advance. You can swap or cancel individual nights anytime up to the noon cutoff that day. We call it Dinner Autopilot.

How is this different from UberEats or DoorDash?

Delivery apps solve the "I want food now" craving — individual portions, quick delivery, and fees that push the price up fast. DinnerSolved is built for the planned family dinner — family-sized portions from vetted local kitchens, preordered in advance, picked up on your way home. For a family of four, it's typically meaningfully cheaper and predictably easier.

How much does a meal cost?

Family meals are priced per meal (not per person) and feed a family of four — typically $50–60 depending on the dish. For context, that's comparable to what you'd spend on the ingredients alone, and meaningfully cheaper than feeding a family of four through a delivery app.

How is this different from HelloFresh or Chef's Plate?

Meal kits still require cooking — you're unboxing ingredients, prepping, and standing at the stove for 30–45 minutes. DinnerSolved meals are already cooked by a local kitchen. You pick up, serve, and eat. Same price range, zero effort.

I run a local kitchen — what's the pitch?

Net-new revenue during your off-peak hours with a 15% take rate (vs. 30%+ on delivery apps). You cook only what's been preordered, so there's no waste and no delivery logistics. Apply here.

Do you deliver?

Pickup-first to start — it keeps prices honest and kitchens profitable. Delivery is on the roadmap for select areas once pickup density is established.
